{Daily Task #82} – Create your own magazine

Task #82:

Keeping magazines for specific articles? – why not rip out the article and create a magazine of your own by adding to a file – then you’ve always got something you want to read to hand – and can get rid of the extra magazines and paper clutter.

Create your own magazine - tip for organising your paperwork from organisemyhouse.com© Farang | Dreamstime.com

My Tips and Advice:

I absolutely love doing this task – but be warned that it does take a while to go through your magazines at the start – once you have created your magazine though its dead easy to keep on top of. Here’s how:-

1. Go through the pile of magazines and articles you have lying around your home – ripping out anything that you want to keep, want to read again etc…

2. Purge all the excess magazines (purge for me is get rid in the best way possible – either recycling, giving to others, or as a last option put in the bin)

3. Buy a folder of some kind. A ring binder works absolutely fine, but I prefer having my articles behind plastic so that I can easily scan through the pages and nothing rips – something like a presentation folder** would work well.

4. Put all the articles and bits of paper into the folder, and take this with you in the car or your handbag to read whenever you get a chance (in a queue, waiting at the doctors etc…)

5. As you read new magazines, get into the habit of tearing out the pages you want to keep and adding them to your own magazine.

6. Once you have finished with it in your magazine, then recycle and make space for new articles.

How did you get on?
